Cast on the moment the SIDEREAL Sun returns to its natal longitude, which for an adult sits many hours away from the tropical solar return and therefore on a different ascendant: the gap runs 0.4 h at age 1, 3.3 h at 10, 7.0 h at 20, 12.5 h at 36 and 17.2 h at 50. Returns the year entry to the second, the sidereal annual chart, the muntha (the natal lagna advanced one sign per completed year) with its house and lord, Panchavargiya bala for all seven grahas (griha, uchcha, hadda, drekkana, navamsa, summed and quartered into Vishwa out of 20), the five office bearers a year lord is chosen from, and five sahams. The year lord comes back twice, because the sources disagree: varshesha follows the Hayanaratna, which requires an aspect to the annual ascendant before strength is consulted and carries the reason it chose; varsheshaByStrength is the modern shortcut of taking the strongest candidate outright. Pass entryLatitude/entryLongitude to enter the year somewhere other than the birthplace, which moves the ascendant and the houses but not the planets or the muntha. Coordinates are required.
Authorizations
Section titled “Authorizations ”Parameters
Section titled “ Parameters ”Query Parameters
Section titled “Query Parameters ”Comma-separated dotted paths, relative to data, to keep in the response. A path is applied to every element of an array, so planets.name means the name of each planet. Paths that match nothing come back in _fields_unmatched; a list where nothing matches at all is a 400, because an empty object would be a confident wrong answer.
Example
planets.name,planets.longitudeRound every non-integer number in the response to this many decimal places. Integers are left alone, because an id is not a measurement. Ecliptic longitudes ship with fourteen decimals by default; 2 is about a tenth of an arcminute.
Example
4Request Body required
Section titled “Request Body required ”Birth data plus a year, for the Tajika annual chart. Required: date (YYYY-MM-DD), time (HH:mm:ss), latitude, longitude and year. Coordinates do NOT default to 0 here as they do on other chart endpoints. The chart is cast on the SIDEREAL solar return, which for an adult is many hours away from the tropical one and therefore a different ascendant.
object
Hours from UTC at the given moment, not minutes. Fractional zones are hours too: 5.5 for India, 5.75 for Nepal, -3.5 for Newfoundland. Defaults to 0, meaning UTC. Ignored when timezone is sent.
IANA zone name such as Europe/Kyiv, or auto to look the zone up from latitude and longitude. The server takes the offset that zone kept at this local date and time, summer time included, and uses it in place of timezoneOffset. A clock time that happened twice takes the first occurrence; one skipped when clocks went forward takes the offset from before the change. Abbreviations such as EST are refused. Before 1970 the tz database is not reliable for every place, so send timezoneOffset when the local clock is known.
Sidereal school by name. Lahiri when omitted. Equivalent to ayanamsaId; send either.
Birth latitude. Required: the muntha starts at the natal lagna.
Birth longitude. Required: the muntha starts at the natal lagna.
Calendar year of the solar return. The year is entered on the birthday of that year, not on 1 January.
Where the year is entered, if not the birthplace. Classically the residence on the birthday. Moves the annual ascendant and every house with it; the planets and the muntha do not move. Must be sent together with entryLongitude.
Longitude of the year entry. Must be sent together with entryLatitude.
